Our Mission
Supporting Australians with blindness or low vision to live the life they choose.
Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services. We exist to support Australians of all ages who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose.

Our focus is to make a positive impact in four key areas for our clients: developing their life skills, supporting their education and employment aspirations, helping them to maintain their independence and navigate life safely and confidently, and assisting them to stay connected in their community.
We do this by offering a range of allied health services, technology and products, information resources, peer group support and advocacy.
How We Help
Supporting independence for over 150 years.
Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and we build our services around their needs and aspirations. Our allied health teams, assistive technology specialists, mobility specialists and employment consultants work with our clients to develop their daily living skills, pursue an education, gain or stay employed, get around safely and independently with the assistance of a cane or Seeing Eye Dog, connect socially - and we provide both the training and the equipment to do all these things.
We estimate there are 453,000 people in Australia who are blind or have low vision – some from birth, some later in life. It is only through the generous support of our donors that we’re able to support these Australians to lead more independent lives.
